Denys Serohin – Associate Professor of the K. Niemets Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies.

He was born on October 17, 1996 in Kharkiv. In 2014 he entered V.N Karazin Kharkiv National University, the Faculty of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism, he graduated from it with honors and obtained a master’s degree in the educational program “Economic, Social Geography and Regional Development” in 2020. In 2020 he entered the full-time PhD school at the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies.

In 2024, he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of knowledge 10 – Natural Sciences in the specialty 103 – Earth Sciences on the topic: “Geoinformation modeling and analysis of regional segments of the global urbanized space (using examples of cities of different ranks)”. In 2024-2025 he was a senior lecturer at the K. Niemets Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies, and since 2025, he has been an Associate Professor of this department.

Research interests: geoinformation technologies in human geography, spatial analysis, geography of urban systems.
