Iryna Scryl
Iryna Scryl – PhD in Geography, Assistant Professor.
She was born on June 27, 1965 in Kharkiv. In 1987 she graduated from the Faculty of Geology and Geography, Kharkov State University A. Gorky. Since 1990, she has been working as head of the department of local history in the Kharkov Regional Station of Young Tourists. In 2008-2013 was a senior lecturer, since 2013 she has been working as an assistant professor of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies. In 2009 she was awarded the sign “Rusova.” In 2011 she defended the thesis on “Socio-geographic features of tourism and recreational activities in the regional social and geographical system (illustrated by Kharkiv region)”. In 2023 she was assigned the academic title of the Associate Professor.
She teaches courses:
• Logistics in recreation and tourism
• Organization of local studies and tourism work at school
• Local studies and tourist activities
Research interests: excursions, recreational geography, regional sightseeing activities, organization of Youth Tourism.
